On Blu-ray and DVD Today!

Synopsis: Get caught up in the story of an aspiring young artist and a “popular” girl who find themselves in a charming yet unconventional high school romance. A Sundance Film Festival favorite, THE ART OF GETTING BY is a delightful coming-of-age film set against the backdrop of New York City. Experience the beauty and emotional depth of THE ART OF GETTING BY on Blu-ray and DVD November 29th from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

George (Freddie Highmore, Golden Compass, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), a lonely and fatalistic teen who’s made it all the way to his senior year without ever having done a real day of work, is befriended by Sally (Emma Roberts, It’s Kind of a Funny Story, What’s Wrong with Virginia), a popular but complicated girl who recognizes in him a kindred spirit.

My Thoughts: Like most women I'm a sucker for any movie that involves teenage love, which is basically what I was expecting from The Art Of Getting By. But this isn't your typical boy meets girl kinda movie. There's heartache, pain, happiness, love.. Pretty much everything a teenager goes through in life is depicted in this movie. Throughout the whole movie you're left wanting more, wondering when they're going to fall in love and live happily ever after. I wouldn't go as far as to say I love this movie, but it's definitely cute and I think it would be a big hit with the teenage crowd.
