Laser Pegs Mini Monster Bug Review

Boys love bugs.. And boys love building things.. So when I discovered Laser Pegs I knew my boys would love them!

About Laser Pegs: The national award winning Laser Pegs™ is the first construction toy set in the world in which each piece feeds the next piece low voltage current. You can design and build anything you want with Laser Pegs™ and use them lit up or turned off. Laser Pegs™ use a high quality LED that will run about 100,000 hours, which is equivalent to keeping them illuminated non-stop for 11 years.

All parts of the Laser Pegs™ set have been ASTM tested, have satisfied 100% of all the toy testing criteria, and are federally approved.

Laser Pegs are geared for children ages 7 and up, which makes my boys a little young for them.. That's where my husband comes in.. He sat down with the boys and built them The Mini Monster Bug that we received for this review. Of course, they loved it! We turned off the lights and I swear my boys could have sat there for hours playing with that bug!

The Mini Monster Bug kit is just one of three starter kits. It comes with 32 laser pegs that allows you to create 9 different models, which can all be viewed on the Models page of Laser Pegs also come in an 84 piece World Of Bug kit that allows you to build 18 different models, as well as several other kits including a Tractor and Dune Buggy to name a few.

Laser Pegs are definitely a cool toy and would make a great Christmas or Birthday gift! They range in price from $24.95 for the starter kits to $59.95 for the larger kits. Instructions for building other models can be downloaded for free off of their website.

Disclosure: I was provided with a Laser Pegs Mini Monster Bug kit for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Stay on a budget with American Express

American Express recently launched their new prepaid card which is a safe and easy way to manage your spending. Here's how it works: First you add money online or by phone from your bank account or with cash, then you use the card spending only the money that you personally loaded onto the card as to not go over your budget, lastly you can reload the card as often as you wish.

The American Express prepaid card is perfect if you're on a weekly budget for groceries.. Just load the card every week with exactly what you're allowed to spend on groceries that way you can't go over your budget! It's also perfect for parents who are sending their kids off to college, or to give to your babysitter for ordering pizza, movies, and snacks for the kiddos.

Another great thing about the American Express prepaid card... No overdraft or recurring fees! There's no overdraft fees because you're only spending the amount that's on the card so there's no worry of accidentally going over budget and worrying about how you're going to pay the monthly bill or how it will affect your credit score. Also, there's no annual fees, monthly fees, customer service fees, and no transaction fees so you're not giving your money to American Express for them letting you own their card!

Now lets talk about the benefits that come along with owning an American Express prepaid card.. If your card is lost or stolen American Express will replace the funds! You will also receive 24 hour customer service, purchase protection ( If an eligible item purchased with the Card is accidentally damaged, or is stolen, Purchase Protection can reimburse you—up to 90 days from the date of purchase), roadside assistance (In the event of car trouble, you have access to Roadside Assistance. Just call American Express!), as well as global assistance for if you're traveling more than 100 miles from home, and American Express selects which gives you access to hundreds of discounts and special offers.

I'm a horrible impulse buyer so the American Express prepaid card is perfect for me. My husband and I can discuss our weekly budget and only put the amount of money I can spend on the card.. That way once I've reached my limit for that week there will be no impulse buying happening.. No matter how great the deal may seem! :)

It's super easy to get an American Express prepaid card, just go on their website, click Get a Card, and within 5-7 business days you will have your card in your mailbox.. So what are you waiting for?? Take the first step to staying on a budget now and go order an American Express prepaid card!

Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of American Express and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Cover your assets with Hip-T Review and Giveaway

I've always been one to layer shirt over shirt for many reasons.. To add a little extra coverage so my underwear doesn't hang out when I sit down, to cover the muffin top, and also to add a little pop of color to an otherwise boring outfit. The problem with layering shirts is sometimes, especially during the summer, it can can get sooo hot! That's why I'm so glad I discovered the Hip-T.

The Hip-T is the simplest solution to covering your assets, whether it's your thong playing peek-a-boo every time you bend over, horrible plumber's crack, or the dreaded muffin top Hip-T has got you covered! Hip-T also works great as a bandeau over your bra, whether you need to add a little extra cleavage or cover some up!

Hip-T comes in basic prints if you're just looking to add a little length to your shirt without drawing too much attention, original with a lace trim for a little added cuteness to an outfit, and sassy prints which are my favorite! The sassy prints include zebra, panther, tye-dye, and even hearts of hardy for an edgier look.

Mat Kearney: Young Love Album Review

Mat Kearney's third album Young Love was released on August 2nd and debuted in the #1 spot on iTunes.

The first single from the album Young Love is called Hay Mama.. It was written by Mat and describes the first meeting between him and his wife. You can check out the video for Hey Mama here.

Mat Kearney will be hitting the road in September, playing shows all over the US with a few stops in Canada. Tickets are on sale now!

I was unfamiliar with Mat Kearney until I received his album to review as a member of the One2One Network. I popped the album into my CD player as soon as it arrived and was very pleased with what I was hearing. It'd kind of hard to explain what his music sounds like.. It's upbeat and "poppy" with a hip-hop beat, nonetheless it's very catchy and definitely dance worthy!

If you're like me and you're not familiar with Mat Kearney's music, you may have heard some of his previous hits on 30 Rock, Grey's Anatomy, The Hills, Friday Night Lights, Scrubs, and NCIS. Mat has even been on tour with John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, and The Fray.

Mat Kearney's album Young Love is definitely growing on me and he is turning into one of my favorite's! I just might have to check him out when he's on tour this fall!

You can listen to Mat Kearney's music on his iTunes page and be sure to check him out on Facebook!

Disclosure: I was provided with Mat Kearney's album Young Love as a member of the One2One Network. I was not compensated in any way, however I am being entered to win a $50 gift card for writing this review. All opinions are my own.

Customized FrizbeeGrams from Review

It's always fun to get something in the mail other than your everyday bills.. Especially when it's something as fun as a FrizbeeGram from!

I'm sure you're asking yourself, what is a FrizbeeGram? An original FrizbeeGram from is a completely customized full-sized plastic frizbee (approx. 9 inches round weighing 85 grams) that will be mailed for you in place of a greeting card or invitation, no envelope and no packaging, just the FrizbeeGram. It is a card and a gift, all in one!!! Gift giving will never be the same. You get to completely customize the FrizbeeGram for your recipient with your own message (unlike a greeting card) and you can even add a picture for free. There is no other hand delivered, completely customizable product that will get as much attention as our FrizbeeGrams.

We were sent a FrizbeeGram from for this review. It was completely customized by the creators of, Shawn and Danielle. I was so surprised when it arrived, they actually used the Life With Two Boys blog header as the image on the FrizbeeGram!

Our FrizbeeGram was delivered directly to our door by our mail lady and the boys got so excited! Frizbee is one of our favorite outside games so of course they couldn't wait to try it out! But first I wanted to remove the mailing label... Which came off super easy and didn't leave behind any sticky residue. Then, outside we went to play with our new Frizbee!

I had been wanting to see Something Borrowed ever since I saw the first preview so I was thrilled to have the chance to review it! I'm a huge fan of Kate Hudson as well as Ginnifer Goodwin, not to mention that I love any kind of romantic comedy! My husband and I sat down and watched it the other night after the boys went to bed and it was as good as I expected it to be, if not better. The story line was pretty intense, but it was still funny and sweet at the same time.. Definitely worth watching again!!

Jarritos Mexican Soda Review

My husband and I have always been avid soda drinkers.. More like soda addicts really! So I was very excited when I was contacted about reviewing a case of Jarritos Mexican soda.

About Jarritos: More than sixty years ago, Jarritos was introduced as Mexico’s first national soft drink. Today, Jarritos is the leading brand in the US in the Mexican soft drink category and has become a Mexican cultural icon. Whether it is the distinctive glass bottle or the 11 unique and great fruit flavors, Jarritos can be found throughout the US in major and independent grocery stores, Mexican restaurants, taquerias, catering trucks and convenience stores. Jarritos flavors are a reflection of Mexico in its array of traditional Mexican flavors made with 100% natural sugar including: Tamarind, Mandarin, Fruit Punch, Jamaica, Lime, Toronja, Guava, Pineapple, Strawberry, Mango, and Mexican Cola.

Jarritos Flavors:
*Toronja / Grapefruit: The refreshing and tangy flavor of Grapefruit is a sweet and sour eye opener!
*Tuti Fruti / Fruit Punch: Always a crowd favorite. It’s like a flavor-fiesta in a bottle!
*Tamarindo / Tamarind: Tamarind is the number two Jarritos flavor (after Mardarin) and delicious ice-cold with any Mexican food.
*Piña / Pineapple: Puts you in a tropical state of mind.
*Mango / Mango: The delicious taste of mango makes you want to tango!
*Mandarina / Mandarin: Nobody makes an orange soda quite like Jarritos Mandarin with 100% natural mandarin orange flavor!

Learning Curve John Deere Flashlight Review and Giveaway

Even though I've lived in the city most of my life I'm still a country girl at heart. Being originally from Maine, I grew up loving John Deere tractors! They always reminded me of my Dad and my Grandfather. So now that I have two boys, I love getting them new John Deere toys!

I was thrilled when I was contacted about reviewing Learning Curve's new John Deere Roll and Go Flashlight. I just knew my boys would love it.. And of course I was right!

Shaped like a John Deere tractor--and featuring free-rolling wheels--the Roll 'n Go Flashlight offers real light and features tractor sounds when the light is triggered. Auto shut-off features saves batteries!

The John Deere Roll and Go Flashlight is a lot of fun, especially for kids who love tractors! It's a flashlight that "drives" and it also makes noises. I mean for a kid it really doesn't get any better than that!

The John Deere Roll and Go Flashlight can be purchased for $12.99 at Target and Toys R Us and would make a wonderful Birthday or Christmas gift for any tractor-loving kid!!
