Kimochis Review and Giveaway *Stocking Stuffer Idea* Closed

Plushy Feely Corp., creator of the award-winning Kimochis...Toys With Feelings Inside, provides children, parents and educators with playful tools for learning to identify and express feelings. When kids can communicate their feelings effectively, they develop positive social skills that lead to lasting friendships and success in all aspects of life. Kimochis® build confidence and character...one feeling at a time.

We were recently sent Kimochis Bug to review and my boys love it! As I've mentioned before they are both huge fans of stuffed animals (plush) so they were more than thrilled to be able to add another to their collection. The great thing about Kimochis though, is that they're not just stuffed animals but they're also a fun way for kids to learn about their feelings.
Each Kimochi is a different character and a different way for kids to learn how to communicate. Bug is a caterpillar who is afraid of change. He is thoughtful, cautious and has secret dreams of flying. Bug's wings can be tucked away in a pocket in his back when he’s feeling afraid or can come out when he’s feeling Brave!

Kimochis are so adorable and would a wonderful stocking stuffer this Christmas.. You can purchase Bug for $16.99 at www.kimochis.com.

**Win It**
One lucky reader will win a 6 inch Kimochis plush with small keychain and comic book.

Mr. Popper's Penguins Review and Giveaway *Closed*

A Man’s Best Friend: Favorite Human/Animal Duos in Film

In many films, the closest bond between man and beast is not just with a typical pet, but also with unlikely creatures, like Mr. Popper’s unbreakable bond with his penguins. Here we will explore other unlikely human/animal duos in film, including Dr. Doolittle, Free Willy, Mary Poppins and How to Train Your Dragon. Not only do these humans and their animals form a special friendship, but they also have fun and hilarious interactions, including dancing, flying and talking.

Jim Carrey (A Christmas Carol) stars in MR. POPPER’S PENGUINS, available on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download December 6th.  The whole family will be full of laughs watching Mr. Popper, a driven businessman, inherit six adorable and mischievous penguins. As Mr. Popper quickly gets attached to his winged roommates, his life quickly unravels: the deal he’s long been working on with a formidable socialite, Mrs. Van Gundy (Angela Lansbury), is derailed and Popper almost lands in jail.  While Popper’s penguins turn his swank New York apartment into a snowy winter wonderland - they teach him valuable lessons about family – human and otherwise!

1) Dr. Doolittle

Eddie Murphy stars as the title character in 1998’s Dr. Doolittle, a film about a doctor who realizes he has the unique ability to understand and talk to animals! Dr. Doolittle befriends a dog named Lucky (voiced by Norm Macdonald), and Lucky helps him realize his true calling as someone who was meant to bond with and help animals. With Lucky’s (and many other animals’) help, Dr. Doolittle is able to save a very sick tiger, which aids in bringing his family closer together and helps his medical practice.

Scented Shoelaces Review and Giveaway *Stocking Stuffer Idea* Closed

I'm always on the lookout for fun and funky products for my boys, whether it's a new toy, line of clothing, or even a colorful accessory. Well, my newest funky find is Scented Shoelaces.

Scented Shoelaces come in all sorts of fun colors and yummy smells including bubblegum, pancake batter, cinnamon, fortune cookie, ketchup, and pizza to name a few. We were sent a variety of Scented Shoelaces to review and I have to say that the pancake batter is my favorite, Brayden loves the bubblegum and chose the "Gumball Wonderful" laces for his shoes, and Trevor my french fry lover chose "Get it Quick" for his.

Scented Shoelaces are not only great for shoes, but can also be used as fashion accessories for your hair, on your backpack, as a belt, and can even be used as wrist or ankle bracelets. I really think they're a really fun product and they smell great too!

You can purchase Scented Shoelaces for $5 a pair, which is a little steep for a pair of shoelaces but sometimes it's fun to splurge! These shoelaces would make a great stocking stuffer too!

EZ Sox Review *Stocking Stuffer Idea*

Trevor recently started getting into the "I can do it" stage where he wants to do everything by himself. Like most kids though there's certain things he still can't do on his own, one of those being putting on his own socks. I don't know what it is about kids socks but they always seem to get stuck on little toes.

One day I discovered EZ Sox and what a neat idea they are. EZ Sox are the "I can do it" socks for kids.

About EZ Sox:
Our unique design helps your child put on their socks with ease.
• Reinforced loops give tiny fingers a strong grip for pulling over tiny toes
• Cute animal faces act as a guide, showing them which way is up
• Non-skid bottoms make EZ SOX safer on slippery surfaces
• Made seamless for sensitive toes
• EZ SOX comes in a variety of the cutest designs

We were sent a pair of Bear EZ Sox to review and Trevor loves them! The loops allow him to easily pull them on by himself and the non-skid bottoms let him run around without slipping on the kitchen floor. And of course, what kid wouldn't love a pair of socks that have a cute animal face on them.

EZ Sox can be purchased for $9.99 for a set of two. They come in cute animal designs for boys and girls as well as solid colors for older kids and even adults! Be sure to "like" EZ Sox on Facebook for a 50% off coupon code valid through November 30th.

Disclosure: I was provided with the product(s) mentioned for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Sweet'n Tots Edible Cupcake Toppers Review & $25 GC Giveaway *Closed*

I was recently contacted by Bonnie Sweeten, owner of Sweet'n Tots, about reviewing her edible cupcake toppers and I'm so glad I agreed. Trevor's 3rd Birthday is only a couple months away and Sweet'n Tots cupcake toppers are going to be a big hit at his party!

About Bonnie and her Sweet'n Tots:

My name is Bonnie Sweeten (hence the business name) and I am the designer and owner of Sweet'n Treats and Sweet'n Tots!

I have over 10 years of experience in graphic design, art, sales and advertising, including a Bachelor's of Art in Graphic Design. I founded this business because of my desire to have a flexible schedule because of my growing family, my beautiful daughter was born in August of 2010.

Sweet'n Treats has been a huge success and I love what I do, but I wanted to get back into truly designing custom artwork. Combined with the numerous requests I get through Sweet'n Treats for custom artwork and "can you draw my child?" questions, I decided to create Sweet'n Tots.

Sweet'n Tots is a fun and easy way to design your own illustrated child. Once you have selected all of your choices, I then digitally draw your child using the options selected.

It was so fun to go onto the website and create my own Sweet'n Tots edible cupcake toppers. You start by selecting features to match your child including gender, age, skin tone, hair color and style, eye color and shape, facial expressions, etc... Then you can add fun accessories such as birthday hats and crowns, borders, and lastly you can add your childs name or a special message in your choice of font and color.
