There are a total of twelve different Amazing Spider-Man sets and the lovely folks at Mega Bloks were generous enough to send us three different sets to review. I cannot even begin to explain how excited my boys were when our package arrived.
The first (and most popular) set we received is the Bridge Showdown. This set features 250 pieces to build a Spider-Man Jeep, Lizard Attack Walker with working launcher, and Battle-damaged Spider-Man and Lizard micro action figures. Geared for ages 6 and up, these sets were a little tough for my boys to put together by themselves but with mom and dads help they were ready to go in no time!
Along with the Bridge Showdown we also received the Spider-Man Speeder which contains 80 pieces and a Spider-Man micro action figure, and the Lizard Sewer Speeder which contains 91 pieces and a Lizard micro action figure. My boys love to play with all three sets to form the ultimate Spider-Man/Lizard show down!
Since Trevor is a little young for the Spider-Man Mega Bloks (though he still enjoys playing with them under parental supervision), the kind folks at Mega Bloks also sent us a First Builders Big Building Bag to review. This set comes with 80 of the larger blocks for ages one and up, and best of all it comes with a reusable storage bag to keep all your blocks in one place when they're not being used.

Love your blog! Fun seeing your boys playing with the Mega Bloks and having so much fun! My kids love them just as much.
My 4 yr. old daughter has had megablocks since she was a year old and they still are in great shape as well. She loves them and plays with them a couple of times a week. I like that the first builders bag had a block with wheels on it. She would love that.

My 3 year old daughter just received her first set/bag of Mega Bloks for her last birthday. I love their zip up bag. When she's done, she puts them in the bag, zips it up & puts them away. I love that they have this now.

Thanks for posting about these sets as its nice to know ahead of time which sets are easy enough or just too hard for 6 yr old/4 yr olds (but really me!) LOL
Some have such tiny, tiny pcs they are so hard to see/hold/snap together so we ernd up NOT being able to use/put together intended toy~thats the worse!

i had these when i was little
I have 5 grandchildren and they have all started out with Mega Bloks and now it's time for our 5th grandson to start. It will be so much fun watching him as he begins to build.
My daughter got something similar to the First Builder set for her 1st bday and she really enjoys it, I think she would enjoy it more if you could build something (like a car or house, etc.) out of them!
My Jesse who is 9 next month has all his sets from even when he was little-- and they are the perfect hand size for Pierce who will be one in Oct. but we really could up date a few of the new items,They are a great block, that really last.Worth the purchases

Mega blocks are a wonderful toy/tool for kids- they keep them entertained for hours and not only are they using their hands they are using their little brains to be creative. All my kids have had mega blocks growing up. Thanks for sharing this review.
Well they sure didn't have Legos like this when I was a kid1 LOL! I could just see myself having fun with these with my Grandson :) What a great way to play and get away from all the tech. and T.V.

No matter how much technology comes into the world, I don't think blocks will ever go out of style - there is just something satisfying to a kid (and a grownup, for that matter), about building something!

These are great. The kids love the blocks big or small. They can build with them and also be creative and design their own things to. Keeps them busy and having fun. They been around along time. Its nice that they have them for different age group too.

I was shocked to learn that Mega Block Sets are for more than just toddlers. I had no idea that there were more difficult sets to choose from - I think the Spiderman sets will make an appearance under the Christmas tree for sure.

My two sins and daughter are all grown qith two kids each. So when they come to Memaws house I always have toys books and things to play and have fun with. It's important for children to play it teaches them about life. Not just how to get along with others but it teaches so much more. So be sure to give you children play time.

My 4 year old loves building "castles" for his pigs (the ones from Angry Birds) with mega blocks.
I particularly are fond of the first set megablocks. Little fingers need larger objects to grasp successfully and these mega blocks fit the bill!
You are never too old for mega blocks and the possibilities are endless when it comes to building!

The First Builders Big Building Bag by Mega Bloks for ages 1-5 looks like fun for my granddaughter who turned 2 today. My nephews would love the Spider Man sets. :-)

Your boys look like they are having so much fun! I know building block towers with my girls are one of the few activities that I can do with them for more than 5 minutes and not get bored!

i'm so bummed... i saw a Mega Bloks Need for Speed set in Target several months ago but my kiddo really wanted a Toy Story 3 garbage truck so i opted for that instead... now i REALLY wish i had bought the Mega Bloks one instead, because they no longer sell it - but that dumb garbage truck is still there >.<
I love that the First Builders Big Building Bag are made for the younger kids, and the reusable bag must come in handy for pickup time. My daughter is younger than Trevor, and Im sure she would enjoy this set just as much as he did. I like his creation! (:

The First Builders would be perfect for my 2 year old grandson. They could be passed down to his 5 month old brother. I love things that can be passed down. More bang for my buck!
My son is a huge spider man and loves to build with blocks. I like mega bloks because it keeps those blocks a little steadier for rough play. Great combo for my kid.

My two oldest of of 5 children had megablok and played with them all the time. They really showed how creative they can be at such a young age. My 2 youngest have yet to have Megabloks thanks for the review this is a toy I forgot all about.
My son LOVES megablocks. He and his Dad build towers as tall as they can and then he knocks them down. It's hilarious!
