Safeseeker Review {Holiday Gift Guide 2012}

My husband, Nate, has a bit of an obsession with the show Flip Men on Spike TV and even more of an obsession with the baseball bat flashlight that Doug carries around on the show. With that in mind I knew what the perfect Christmas gift for him would be... The Safeseeker!

What is the Safeseeker? Well, it is that very same baseball bat flashlight that has been seen on Flip Men! The Safeseeker is a high powered flashlight inside a solid hardwood baseball bat that has been designed to help you defend yourself in case of an emergency. The long lasting LED flashlight is so bright it produces nearly 150 lumens (that's 10x brighter than a regular flashlight) and with a tap of a finger, the flashlight goes into stun mode, disorienting anyone you point it at and helping you to safely defend yourself from an intruder.

Christmas came a little early in our house this year when we were sent a Safeseeker to review. I honestly could not believe how excited Nate was, especially since he's really not the type to get excited over anything!  The Safeseeker came packaged very nicely in a black foam cut protective insert with a hinged gift box, making it all ready for gift giving.

The set up of the Safeseeker was very simple... All you have to do is secure the provided flashlight into the cylinder hole on the custom made bat. Then it's all set to either place beside your bed or on a shelf or mantle for easy access. Now when someone comes into your home unexpectedly in the middle of the night (or day) you are prepared to protect yourself without the use of a dangerous weapon (which makes this anti-gun momma very happy).

The Safeseeker would make an excellent Christmas gift for any man or woman! You can purchase one today for $69.95 and guess what?! I'll be giving one away during the Winter's Coming Giveaway Hop beginning November 1st so be sure to come back for your chance to win this amazing self-defense item!

What a great idea! I am not too keen on guns in the house along with children, so this would provide an alternative!

Loved your review and I don't want any guns around my home with the grandchildren so this would be perfect for my husband and our home. A good way to protect yourself when needed and a powerful flashlight also.

Never heard of the show or the Safeseeker. I do like that it has the powerful flashlight inside the bat. Sounds like something every home should have!

Like the posts above, I haven't seen that show or heard of this product. It's definitely a cool, useful idea. I hope I'd never have to use it though!!

That's very interesting. It's always fun to ready the background on an item. I think it's very unusual that it's useful and shaped like a baseball bat. Your review was great. IT was very informative.

What a fantastic idea. I wouldn't have a gun in the house but I would be more than happy to have one of these next to my bed. I would feel a bit safer knowing I could defend my self if I had to ,as hubby is away with the military a bit.

As apparently the only oddball who grew up a cop's kid with a house full of loaded weapons, they don't bother me in the least. They also don't bother the people who carry them illegally and break into your house. That said, I don't CC while carrying babies and I have a host of rules about them. This device just seems really cool altenative or addition to a safety plan.

I've never seen one of these (and never heard of Flip Men), but my husband would absolutely love this. I'm seriously thinking of getting him one for Christmas. So glad I saw your review. Thanks!

Great review! I hadn't heard of this before. So very cool! I might be getting some of these as Christmas gifts.

Thanks for the review. Never heard of the TV show you talked about. Having a weapon in the home is necessary. No matter how you feel about guns, defense is needed even in our relatively safe neighborhood.
A baseball bat is a dangerous weapon, don't kid yourself. It can cause a heck of a lot more harm than a gunshot.

Thanks for the review. I had never heard of the product before. I love the variety of uses. The flashlight for emergencies...and for protection. I like also that you are protecting yourself without the use of a gun. I grew up with guns, so I'm not afraid of them...but still prefer they not be in my house. I Love this product.

I've never seen this on flip men either, but I must say its quite possiby the coolest idea I've seen in a while. I can see why your hubby got so excited! Its a defense device & a novelty item in one! I can see my boyfriend showing it off to people like "hey, look at this awesome bat...oh wait, its a flashlight too!"

brooke suzanne said...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that if I show this to my husband, he'll get one to go with his "zombie apocalypse" supplies. Yes... My husband is a prepper, not just ANY kind of prepper... He's terrified of zombies. So... A bat, flashlight, easy self defense item is riiiight up his alley.

I actually have a bat for protection but nothing like this. I don't like having a gun in the house either. I'm to afraid that someone would get accidentally hurt. I love the light that fits right in the handle and this looks like one strong bat~! I actually got stopped by a police officer late one night driving the elderly ladies to bingo one Saturday night and the officer shined his police car light in my mirror to blind me. He said this is done on purpose to protect them. It worked too let me tell you I couldn't see a thing at all. I had never had a police officer do that before. I thought it was a little over kill because it was a vehicle full of old ladies lol. He wanted to know why we were out so late at 11pm lol Then he let us go. I have no idea why he stopped me but he sure did blind me. I would love to have this for protection in my home. Thanks for sharing this review with all of us.
