CAT Preschool Shape Sorter Review {Holiday Gift Guide 2012}

Shape sorters are, in my opinion, a necessity when it comes to learning toys for little ones. Sure kids can learn their shapes by looking in books and watching educational cartoons but isn't hands on experience a lot more rewarding and fun? Well, Toy State brings fun to a whole new level with the CAT Preschool Shape Sorters.

The CAT Preschool Shape Sorters feature traditional shape-sorting play with iconic CAT machine styles including a dump truck and cement mixer. We were recently sent the dump truck to review and although Trevor already knows his shapes he still finds this toy very rewarding.

Simply match the shapes to their correct slots on the truck, dump it out, and do it all over again. Now, these trucks don't feature a lot of bells and whistles, but sometimes it's the simple toys that are truly fun for kids. Plus, they're learning... It doesn't really get any better than that!

You can purchase the CAT Preschool Shape Sorter in stores including Walmart, Toys R Us, Target, and K-Mart for a suggested retail price of $15.99.

Shape sorters seem so simple, but they really are some of the best toys! When my son was little, we got him one for $1 and I can't tell you how many hours is kept him occupied!

This is adorable! When the YTC (youngest testosterone carrier) was a little lad he had a truck similar to this and absolutely loved it!
