Top Films to Watch this Easter

FROM DIRECTOR CAMERON CROWE COMES THE UPLIFTING TALE BASED ON A TRUE STORY

Featuring Family Friendly Audio Track The Whole Family Will Go Wild for this Heartwarming Adventure Starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson On Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download April 3

This Easter, be unpredictable, do something crazy and embrace your wild side!  Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment presents an inspiring adventure based on a true story of one man who brought a zoo back to life and family back together in WE BOUGHT A ZOO, arriving on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download April 3.  Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire) and starring Matt Damon (Contagion, True Grit), Scarlett Johansson (Iron Man 2, Vicky Cristina Barcelona) and Thomas Haden Church (Easy A, Sideways), WE BOUGHT A ZOO is “a sweet-natured tale…that you’ll want to see with your kids” (Liz Braun, Jam! Movies).

Benjamin Mee (Damon) is a Los Angeles newspaper columnist and adventure writer who, as a single father, faces the challenges of raising his two young children.  Hoping that a fresh start and a new life will restore their family spirit, Mee quits his job and buys an old rural house outside the city with a unique bonus feature: a zoo named the Rosemoor Animal Park, where dozens of animals reside under the care of head zookeeper Kelly Foster (Johansson) and her dedicated team.  With no experience, limited time and a shoestring budget, Mee sets out with the support of his family and the local community to reopen the zoo.  Now, Benjamin is no longer reporting an adventure story; he’s living it in his own backyard.

A Tisket A Tasket Spring Giveaway Hop Sponsor Spotlight: Magic Cabin

If you're a regular Life With Two Boys reader you probably already know how much my boys love stuffed animals. Well, with Easter right around the corner I figured it was the perfect time to start searching for a new "friend" for them, that's when I discovered this awesome Snuggle Lamb Body Pillow sold exclusively at Magic Cabin.

This lamb is super soft and cuddly, and since it's over 4 feet long there's plenty of love to go around! It has an adorable velour face and soft fleece body, making it the perfect sleeping companion. You can purchase the Snuggle Lamb Body Pillow for $59.98, which I think is a great price considering the size.

When our Snuggle Lamb Body Pillow arrived Trevor pulled it right out of the package, laid it on the floor, and jumped on top of it. He sat on it forever, giving it hugs and kisses and the occasional punch (because that's what boys do for some reason), and he's loved it ever since! Because Trevor has more room in his bed than Brayden he has claimed the lamb and it sleeps in his bed with him every night.

A Tisket A Tasket Spring Giveaway Hop Sponsor Spotlight: Kid Basix

Brayden takes his lunch to school with him everyday, for some reason he has no desire to buy lunch and honestly I like packing it because that way I know what he's eating. For the longest time I was packing him juice boxes and bottles water, then I started to think there has to be a less costly way to send his lunch to school with him. That's when I discovered Kid Basix!

Did you know that a 16oz. bottle of water costs about $2.00? So if you send one of those to school with your child every day for a month you're spending about $60 a month just on drinks alone, that's insane! One of the easiest ways to save is to replace your bottled water with reusable, easy to recycle stainless steel water bottles that cost less than a penny to fill.

We were recently given the opportunity to review the Safe Sporter from Kid Basix and it has become a great way to help make Brayden's school lunches cost less. Available in two sizes, the 12oz. Safe Sporter is perfect for lunch boxes, while the 16 oz. Safe Sporter is great for sports practice and other outside activities.

Parking Pal Magnet Review

Brayden has always been great at watching out for cars when we're in a parking lot, but Trevor isn't so great at taking proper safety precautions. If I'm not holding his hand he tends to take off the first chance he gets. Well, I was recently introduced to the Parking Pal Magnet and I was thrilled when we were sent one to review.

The Parking Pal Magnet is the first invented by moms, for moms product to help with parking lot safety for children. It's super easy to use, just place it on a spot on your car that your child can reach, and tell your child to high-five it. Because of the fun colors and designs, it's entertaining for kids while keeping them safe at the same time.

A few points you might want to remember about the Parking Pal:
* Place the Parking Pal on a CLEAN spot on your car and be sure to rotate the placement to prevent uneven fading.
*Always remove the Parking Pal before going through a car wash because the high pressure can cause it to fall off.
*After purchasing the Parking Pal, have a few practice sessions in your driveway and teach your child not to take their hand off the Parking Pal until you give them permission.

Parking lots can be a very dangerous place for kids... That's why the Parking Pal Magnet is a must have for parents of younger children! Purchase one today for only $8.99 at www.parkingpalmagnet.com.

The Sitter DVD Review

Jonah Hill Takes You Where No Babysitting Movie Has Gone Before in the Outrageously Raunchy and “Totally Irresponsible” Edition which arrived on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download March 20th.

Synopsis: When Noah (Hill), the suburban slacker, is watching the neighbor’s kid he gets a booty call from his girlfriend in the city. To hook up with her, Noah takes to the streets, but his urban adventure spins out of control as he finds himself on the run from the maniacal drug lord. Raunchy laughs and insane action – it’s all in a night’s work for The Sitter.

Our Thoughts: My husband and I are both big fans of Jonah Hill so I jumped on the opportunity to review The Sitter. With Jonah Hill playing the lead, I expected to laugh my butt off throughout the entire movie and I have to admit I'm a little disappointed. While the funny parts were pretty hilarious, I really expected there to be more of them!

Do you remember the 1980's flick "Adventure's in Babysitting" with Elizabeth Shue? Well, The Sitter reminds me of a modern day version of that (to a certain extent). Overall, The Sitter was a decent movie and I'd probably watch it again.

Disclosure: I was provided with a copy of the DVD mentioned for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

A Tisket A Tasket Spring Giveaway Hop Sponsor Spotlight: Zoë b Organic

Zoë b Organic was created by mother of three, Valerie Lecoeur, because she was frustrated by the lack of eco-friendly options available to parents. With products like their new Fantastic Anti-Plastic dishes and their Fantastic Anti-Plastic Beach Toys,  Zoë b Organic is providing parents everywhere with more opportunities to take better care of our planet for the sake of our children.

While I have to admit I'm not the most eco-conscious person out there, I do try to do my part to make the planet healthier for my boys as well as future generations. I recycle whenever possible and over the past year or so I've been adding all sorts of green products to my list of must-haves. Recently we were given the opportunity to try out some of Zoë b Organics Anti-Plastic products and we love them!

With Summer and beach season right around the corner we were thrilled to receive a set of Fantastic Anti-Plastic Beach Toys to review. Made from corn instead of petroleum, these are the worlds first biodegradable beach toys. Unlike most plastic toys that can take 500 years to break down, Zoë b Organics beach toys break down in only two to three years making them much safer for the environment. They also contain no toxic chemicals making them safer for our kids, which is always a plus for me.

Shielo Antioxidant Leave in Protectant Review

I'm not one to style my hair on a daily basis, however I do blow dry it daily which is probably why I have horribly frizzy hair. I don't usually use heat protectant (or any products really) in my hair, but when I was given the opportunity to review Shielo's Antioxidant Leave in Protectant I figured it couldn't possibly make my hair worse and I decided to give it a try.

About the product: This antioxidant rich leave in protectant is designed to fortify every strand of hair, creating texture, as well as protect your color-treated hair from the elements. Our unique protective complex with pro-vitamins, proteins andamino acids infuse hair with vitamins while providing UV protection. For deeper natural and color-treated hair color. Excellent in eliminating frizz and protecting hair from styling tools.

I've been using Shielo's leave in protectant for about a week now and I couldn't be happier with the results. First of all it's super easy to use, just spray it onto towel dried hair and style as usual... It literally takes only a couple seconds but results in something amazing!

Chuggington "Brewster’s Little Helper" DVD Review

Chuggington "Brewster’s Little Helper"
Available now on DVD

Synopsis: Honk your horns for this all-new collection showcasing young trainee, Brewster, as he discovers adventure and responsibility in Chuggington. In these six traintastic episodes, Brewster gets some unexpected help from Zephie, cleans up a mess in the recycling yard with Koko, does a sign-reading exercise with pal Wilson, and even meets his hero Action Chugger! Together Brewster and his friends learn valuable lessons about friendship, patience, following instructions, and completing daily tasks. Join the trainees as they ride the rails of life in Brewster's Little Helper!

Our Thoughts: Every morning my boys are allowed to watch cartoons for a little bit before breakfast. It's a great way to allow them to actually wake up before having to start the day. One show that is on our list every morning is Chuggington, they just can't seem to get enough of it.

We were recently sent a copy of Brewster's Little Helper to review and they were so excited. I let them watch it the other day before Brayden headed off to school and like all of the Chuggington episodes we've seen in the past it was a hit!

My boys love Chuggington because it's fun and entertaining and I have no problem letting them watch it because they're also learning important life lessons along the way!

Disclosure: I was provided with a copy of the DVD mentioned for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Art on-the-go with Doodle Roll- Review

The Doodle Roll is an all-in-one portable arts & crafts activity kit that contains a roll of paper and crayons in a compact package (that doubles as a handy dispenser) with a safe EZ tear edge. It's convenient size makes it perfect for taking along to doctors appointments and out to dinner to keep the little ones occupied while you're waiting.

The Doodle Roll is available in two different sizes, 4" and 6", and we were sent one of each to review. My boys love to color so I knew that Doodle Rolls would be a hit with them but little did I know it would be a hit with me as well. The handy dispenser is super easy to use, allowing kids to easily dispense their own paper. But my favorite feature is the EZ tear edge, it allows kids to easily tear off their artwork without having to use scissors.

Doodle Rolls are perfect in so many ways and would make a great Easter basket filler or stocking stuffer. You can purchase them at select retailers nationwide as well as online at www.doodleroll.com.
