I would love to say that I would download apps first on my new ipad but I have a children who usually confiscate anything that can be downloaded. With that said, I can guarantee you that the first applications to be downloaded will probably be games that each of the children can play.
The first app I would download is Facebook. Need to stay connected to my sisters!

I'd share this with my kids, and use it as a teaching tool when we're at home and travelling.
I'd also use it to read my favorite blogs everyday!

I would like to use it as reading books for my kids, especially when we travel.
I am the ONLY one in my house, aside of my 15 month old grand daughter, who does NOT have the capability to play Words with Friends. No working Ipod, smart phone, and for some reason it kicked down my Facebook page when I tried it. So I'd for sure get that and other games to play!

My first app would be Samphibian! It's a really cute game where you tap bugs to feed Sam the Frog, but if you don't tap the right kinds/numbers of bugs, Sam gains weight, and eventually he'll fall off his lily pad (and get eaten by a crocodile!). You can also tap different things that fly by for special effects (spaceship turns him into an alien, chili pepper makes him turn red and steam comes out of his ears, etc.)
Most kids (and even adults) that I've worked with in therapy LOVE it!
I don't even know what apps are available. I promise to do my homework about apps when I win this.
