Thomas rolled into town on June 15th and stayed for nine days giving little engineers and their families the opportunity to spend the day with Thomas and enjoy a nice ride on their favorite engine, meet Sir Topham Hatt, and have some fun with Thomas themed activities including arts & crafts, storytelling and more. Plus Strasburg Rail Road also offered fun extras for kids including a hand-powered Pump Car, riding on the Pint-sized Pufferbelly, a miniature steam train, and "steer" the pint-sized Cranky Cars around a track. Basically, it's a super fun filled day for the kiddos!
We live a little over 30 minutes away from Strasburg Rail Road so the drive wasn't too bad and we left in plenty of time to get in a few fun activities before our ride began. As per the usual, it was pretty busy, but luckily we didn't have to wait in many lines and there was plenty of room on the train when it was time to board.
To say we loved the ride would be an understatement! Of course, the ride is rather short (only about 22 minutes long) but it's definitely worth it to see the look on the kiddos faces when they get to take a ride on their favorite blue engine.
Overall, we had a fantastic day! The boys got some super cool Thomas temporary tattoos, got to pick out some fun souvenirs, and of course they had a lot of fun on the bonus rides offered at Strasburg.
For those of you who live in the area, Thomas will be back in September and November if you'd like to check it out! And for those of you who aren't in the area... Don't worry!
