Silver Dolphin Books Crayola Books Review {Gifts Galore Sponsor Spotlight}

As a mom, it's very important to me that my kids are encouraged to use their imagination. In this day and age, where video games and tablets are our kids' go-to activities, it's easy to forget how simple it is to hand them some paper and crayons and see where their imagination takes them. That being said, Silver Dolphin Books offers the perfect solution!

Silver Dolphin Books publishes activity, novelty, and educational nonfiction books for preschoolers to 12-year-olds. Highly interactive formats such as the Field Guides and Uncover series both educate and entertain older children. The lovable characters of the Maurice Pledger series and the boldly illustrated Snappy Sounds series appeal to both young children and parents alike.

When considering gifts for my boys this holiday season, I came across Silver Dolphin Books and I'm so glad I did. I was especially ecstatic when they offered to send us two of their innovative children's books to review. We received the Drawing book from the Crayola Color Workshop series and Rock Painting book from the Crayola Artist Studio series.

For ages 5 and up, the Crayola Color Workshop: Drawing book is absolutely perfect for Trevor. Featuring a 32-page book, a 16-page sketchpad, 16 Crayola Metallic Crayons, 8 Crayola Regular Crayons, and a ruler, this book is packed with more than 15 fun projects that encourage kids to get creative.

What's great about the Crayola Color Workshop: Drawing book is the colorful instruction book. It offers step by step instructions with accompanying illustrations that helps make drawing easy and fun!

The Crayola Artist Studio: Rock Painting book is designed for ages 7 and up, and features a 48-page book, 18-ct Washable Crayola Kids’ Paint, 5 Crayola Glitter Glue Tubes, 1 Crayola Paintbrush, 10 Pom-Poms, and 1 Paint Palette. It comes with all the art supplies needed to create more than 15 fun rock projects including a frog, a football, a ladybug, and more.

Of course, my boys favorite part of the Rock Painting was digging through all the rocks in the back yard to find the perfect rocks for their projects. Who knew you could find a rock, that when colored, will look just like a football?!

Again, what's really great about the Crayola Artist Studio: Rock Painting book is that it features easy to follow instructions with colorful illustrations to make rock painting easy and fun.

My boys really enjoy the Crayola books from Silver Dolphin Books and I'm sure they'd be a huge hit this holiday season! You can purchase both books online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

My kids and I, have always enjoyed a wide variety of books together, but books like these, that have fun activities and crafts and other features like built in puppets and stickers etc make reading twice as much fun. These types of books make great gifts for kids too!

I think it is great that Dolphin books has so many hands on activity and learning books for children, I love the ones that actually get to do something and learn, learning is also done by doing and not just reading.
