The Arlo Series by Karisa Lowe - Children's Book Review {Gifts Galore Sponsor Spotlight}

Like me, both of my boys enjoy reading. Sometimes we read about their favorite cartoon characters, sometimes we read something a little more educational, and sometimes we like to read something that's fun and educational. That's where the Arlo series by Karisa Lowe comes in!

The Arlo series is a set of children's books that are not only cute, but also serve a purpose. The series includes Arlo Goes to the Dentist, Arlo and the Airplane, and Arlo Goes to the Farmers Market.

Arlo is an adorable little elephant that loves to use his imagination. In both Arlo Goes to the Dentist and Arlo and the Airplane, he uses his imagination to try to imagine what visiting the dentist and riding on an airplane would be like, then he actually gets to experience them and everything that goes along with it. They're both a great way to prepare your kiddos for their own firsts.

Arlo Goes to the Farmers Market is aimed at getting kids more excited about eating fruits and vegetables. Arlo goes to the Farmer's Market with his mom and gets to learn about different fruits and vegetables and even tries some that he hasn't tried before. It's a great way to encourage kids to try something new.

Now, I've been lucky with my boys when it comes to a lot of things. For example, they love the dentist... Crazy, I know! But it's true. They also love fruits and vegetables. So while the Arlo books aren't necessarily something they needed for a little extra encouragement, they still really enjoyed them nonetheless!

The Arlo books retail for $15.95 each for the hardcover edition or you can buy a set of all three for $45. This series would make a great gift for your kids or grandchildren this holiday season!

Want your chance to win a set of all three Arlo books? Be sure to stop by between November 3rd and 17th for the Gifts Galore Giveaway Hop!

We do a lot of reading here, especially with the kids back at school and most have to read a book a day. I think they'd like many of their books

These would be great books for my grandsons to read, especially before riding an airplane or going to the dentist. It would help calm their fears.

I think these books would be both fun and helpful for the kids if they can read about it before then. Thank you for the review on these books

Books like these are a fun, non threatening and enjoyable way for kids to become familiar with experiences such as going to the dentist before they even go, so it doesn't seem scary even upon a first visit.

My younger grandchildren will enjoy reading the "Arlo Series" books. The pictures would get their ' little brains " going as they place themselves into the stories. So that the next time their idea on experiencing something new would not be so scary for them. "Look Mom, I'm Arlo!"

I love how these books deal with kid's most common fears! My son is still scared to death to go to the dentist for a cleaning. I like that these books help kids understand how to deal with their fears.

Books are a great way to expand a child's imagination and to have a book where the character is imagining too is fantastic.
