The Guardians by Mandy M. Roth {eBook Review}

The Guardians
by Mandy M. Roth

Ass-kicking Guardian, Madelyn Mason, is the only female in a sea of supernatural males. College student by day, she spends her nights fighting for mankind--the innocents, the ones who have no clue that the things of nightmares walk among the living.

Larger than life Hollywood hunk, Brady Devens, has won the hearts of millions of adoring fans. But, the only heart he wants to win is that of his mate, Madelyn. She hasn't shown an interest in him as anything more than a friend, and he's beginning to think the Powers That Be goofed.

In this world of magik, mishap, demons, gods, and pleasure nymphs, anything is possible. Can they find a love that transcends time and space or will the Powers That Be decide maybe they weren't destined for one another after all?

When a book has as many twists and turns as The Guardians did, it's pretty much impossible to write a spoiler free review, so this is going to be short and sweet.

What can I really say other than the fact that I love a kickass heroine and Ms. Roth did not disappoint with this one. Madelyn can hold her own and then some, but she's smart enough to ask for help when she needs it, which set her apart from most heroines you read about these days.

And Brady... What I wouldn't give to have been able to be in his head a few times. He was great, don't get me wrong, but man did I want to junk punch him on more than one occasion. But you could really feel his love for Madelyn and that's the only reason I forgave him for his stupidity.

Overall, this was a great paranormal romance that kept me on the edge of my seat. There are so many twists and turns, no one is who they seem, and maybe, just maybe, they'll all be able to save the world in the end... I guess I'll just have to keep sitting on the edge of my seat until the next book in the series is released.

Disclosure: I was provided with a Kindle copy of The Guardians in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
