Manwhore by Katy Evans {ARC Review}

Manwhore (Manwhore #1)
by Katy Evans

Is it possible to expose Chicago’s hottest player—without getting played?

This is the story I've been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention.

Mysterious. Privileged. Legendary. His entire life he’s been surrounded by the press as they dig for tidbits to see if his fairytale life is for real or all mirrors and social media lies. Since he hit the scene, his secrets have been his and his alone to keep. And that’s where I come in.

Assigned to investigate Saint and reveal his elusive personality, I’m determined to make him the story that will change my career.

But I never imagined he would change my life. Bit by bit, I start to wonder if I'm the one discovering him...or if he's uncovering me.

What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?

I went into Manwhore knowing that I was going to love it simply because Katy Evans wrote it... But what I didn't know was that I was going to become so emotionally invested in these two that my heart was going to be tattered right along with theirs in the end. The feels totally took me by surprise in this one!

The magazine that Rachel works for, Edge, is going under and Rachel is determined to do whatever it takes to keep it afloat... Her assignment? Exposing Chicago's hottest playboy, Malcolm Saint. But what happens when Rachel and Saint start spending time together, become intimate, and Rachel starts falling for the manwhore she's supposed to be writing her expose on?

Well let me tell you... Rachel is not the only one who fell for the man they call Saint. He's difficult, relentless, cocky, arrogant, alpha... All the things you can't help but love in a hero. Plus, he's so caring and when he starts opening up to Rachel... Sigh! Oh and dibs!!!!

And Rachel... I absolutely loved watching her blossom under Saint's attention. She's shy and vulnerable, and yes she's young and makes mistakes... But the article that she ended up writing? I mean, there's no way Saint can't forgive her after she poured her heart out to him.

The romance between the two is slow building and fit their story absolutely perfectly. I mean, the kisses alone were enough to make me fall in love. But the way they slowly opened up to each other felt more intimate than the actual sex scenes... Don't get me wrong though, they were plenty smexy!!!

Honestly I just can't say enough about this book. I fell in love and had my heart broken... I cried right along with Rachel when she realized that Saint wasn't going to forgive her... But I have hope that these two will work it out in the end. Seriously, I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait for the next book to see these two get their HEA.

Disclosure: I was provided with an ARC of Manwhore in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
